THE CHAPEL

Built for the Sacré Coeur nuns in 1929, with its Gothic design heavily influenced by one in Alsace Lorraine, many consider Erskine Chapel to be New Zealand’s finest chapel, featuring Italian Carrara marble and world renowned acoustics.  The chapel is perfect for small concerts/performances, weddings, christenings or memorials. No longer serving as a parish church, Erskine Chapel is non-denominational. All services, whether religious, civil, LGBTQIA+, or a renewal of vows are warmly welcomed.
