EVENTS AT ERSKINE CHAPEL
When you hire Erskine Chapel, you receive exclusive use of the entire venue - the chapel, the grand ballroom, the kitchen facilities, the foyers, the upstairs function room and the mezzanine - ensuring the ultimate in flexibility. Guests are limited to 100 (plus staff), and we have a list of preferred partners who are familiar with the venue, but you are welcome to bring your own by agreement. Half day/Full Day/Evening/Wedding rates are available.

Erskine Chapel is a 'dry hire' venue - meaning you bring in all the furniture required for your event. We can provide recommended contacts for all event requirements. Your caterer will need to provide any liquor licensing requirements, and you are required to adhere to our traffic management plan.
WEDDINGS
Erskine Chapel was a popular wedding venue in the 1990's prior to its restoration. Loved for its soaring vaulted ceiling forms, it is a light, airy space of awe-inspiring and undeniable beauty. The ornately carved altar was sculpted in Rome, and like the apse floor, is of Italian Carrara marble.
No longer a parish church, Erskine Chapel is non-denominational. Religious, civil, LGBTQIA+, or renewal of vows ceremonies are all warmly welcomed.

Enjoy the convenience of having your ceremony and reception in the same venue. Upon arrival your guests will make their way up the grand staircase to be wowed by the unique gothic chapel. After the ceremony the beautiful light filled space next door is ideal for Champagne and Canapes whilst the couple's wedding photography occurs. Then finally, the downstairs ballroom is perfect for dinner and dancing.
FUNERALS & MEMORIALS
A glorious and very special space to say goodbye - offering serenity that is warmly felt. A panel of preferred funeral directors can take care of all the details.
Please note: The Chapel is located upstairs, there is a lift for the casket when transporting from Chapel to Hearse. Funerals can be held on any day. The funeral director will contact Erskine direct to book the venue and will ensure all logistical arrangements are made including all legal requirements, choosing your celebrant, publishing death notices, printing orders of service, catering, flowers and any audio-visual requirements.
CONCERTS & PERFORMANCES
The immaculate proportions of the Chapel have created a
space widely renowned for its exceptional acoustics, with many noted performers, including the Vienna Boys Choir and the Trapp Family Singers appreciating the chapel’s ‘extraordinary clarity and long reverberant time'.
CELEBRATIONS
The options are endless with Erskine Chapel's flexible spaces: big birthdays, engagements, announcements, brand or product launches, destination dinners, corporate events, fashion shows, pop-up art galleries, charity events, comedy nights - the only limit is your imagination.
LOCATION SHOOTS
The Convent Building was used in Peter Jackson's The Frighteners, and Erskine Chapel's soaring scale is well suited for TV and film requirements with it's exceptional light and acoustics beyond compare.
